The 3M™ Aluminum Foil Tape is a 3.25 mil, general-purpose tape comprised of a dead soft aluminum foil backing and a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. This tape is malleable and conforms well to uneven, curved, or irregular surfaces. To help protect heat-sensitive components, the thermally conductive tape reflects and dissipates radiant heat. The aluminum backing offers a reflective surface and helps enhance lighting efficiency. The tape is engineered to help resist flame, moisture, weather, dust, UV degradation, and other chemicals, to help provide long-lasting durability. It works in temperatures from -30°F to 300°F. This tape is suitable for general holding, patching and sealing applications, light reflecting or heat-shielding tasks, moisture and vapor barrier jobs as well as thermal conducting needs.
