These sleeves protect arms from hazardous dry particulates and moderate-chemical splash and spray. Dry particulates are larger in size than aerosols and include dust and dirt. Garments that provide moderate-chemical splash and spray protect against a range of organic and inorganic acids and bases, solvents, and salts found in industrial cleaning applications. They have higher breakthrough times and protect against more chemicals than garments for light-chemical splash and spray. They are worn when working with liquids under pressure in industrial cleaning applications such as caustic clean down and decontamination. Sleeves pull on over the wrist. They are worn over bare arms or combined with other clothing to help minimize heat stress.
