These general purpose single-phase 200 to 240V sewage ejector pumps use a higher voltage that allows for larger motors that require less current than lower-voltage motors. They remove sewage containing solids from drains where a gravity system won't work, such as in septic systems that are below the main sewer line. They are compatible with most 240V U.S. wall outlets.
