AC motor-driven forced-air oil coolers use a fan to cool hydraulic fluid as it passes though the heat exchanger coil or core. They require access to an electrical power source and have a larger capacity than DC and hydraulic motor-driven oil coolers, making them suitable for cooling stationary equipment such as industrial power units, gear boxes, lathes, and other machinery.
In-line forced-air oil coolers use a motor-driven fan to cool hydraulic oil as it passes through the heat exchanger's core or coil.
