These coveralls with secondary flame resistance protect workers from hazardous dry particulates; hazardous heavy-chemical splash and spray; and hazardous vapors and gases. Secondary flame-resistant clothing is worn over a baselayer of personal flame-resistant clothing (such as shirts and pants) when there is an intermittent or low risk of encountering fire. These garments are not a primary source of flame protection. Dry particulates are larger in size than aerosols and include dust and dirt. Garments that provide heavy-chemical splash and spray resistance protect against a range of chemical- and biological-warfare agents; organic and inorganic acids and bases; solvents; and salts.
