Vinyl nitrile bulk petroleum hoses with vinyl nitrile covers are used for suction and discharge of petroleum products and can also be used for transferring biodiesels. Vinyl nitrile provides good resistance to ozone, animal fats and oils, and petroleum. These hoses have a static wire that dissipates static charge to help prevent sparks that can ignite fumes or material inside the hose. They are used in tank-truck, paper- and pulp-manufacturing, oil- and gas-exploration, ship-building, a batch-plant applications.

Bulk petroleum hoses can be cut to a desired length and compatible fittings can be installed on the ends of the hoses to create custom hose assemblies for dispensing petroleum oils. They are typically lightweight and flexible, and they have a combination of materials and features that make the hoses suitable for use in particular locations or provide resistance to additives that could be in the materials that will flow through the hose.
