ORB-to-NPTF steel hydraulic hose adapters are durable, wear-resistant, and suitable for environments where corrosion is not a concern. They are typically used to connect compatible hydraulic hoses to pipe in medium- and high-pressure hydraulic systems. These adapters have an ORB (O-Ring Boss) connection on one end and an NPTF (National Pipe Tapered Fuel) connection on the other end. The ORB connection has an O-ring and straight threads that form a tight seal when joined to the opposite gender. The NPTF connection (or dryseal thread) forms a secure seal when mated with the opposite gender.
