UHMW polyethylene U-channels have a slippery surface that's used to minimize friction between parts on conveyor rails, chutes, and guides. They retain their key physical properties at temperatures as low as -22°F (-30°C). They are wear-, corrosion-, and impact-resistant, and serve as excellent electrical insulators. Their unique design and slippery surface make them suitable for fabricating frames and parts where repeated scuffs, scrapes, and strikes are a concern.
