The decks on these steel-deck platform trucks are completely open on the ends and sides to allow pipe, bar stock, rolls of carpet or paper, and other long and large items to be loaded onto them. Also known as stake or stanchion trucks, the trucks have vertical posts at the corners that keep items from rolling or sliding off their decks. The posts are used to steer the trucks and can be removed to ease loading and unloading. The trucks have low decks that reduce the distance heavy or bulky materials must be lifted when moving them onto or off of the trucks.
