This Grainger Approved flange gasket combines the corrosion resistance of void-free virgin PTFE fluorocarbon resins, with the structural strength of 304 perforated stainless steel. The gasket material is molded and oven sintered in an innovative process that totally encapsulates a 304 stainless steel perforated reinforcement core. This core confines the PTFE and greatly reduces the effect of creep and cold flow of the gasket within the flange. The design of the molded PTFE with the metal stabilizes the seal face and enhances the cold flow resistance.
