Guardian® recessed safety station is a combined drench shower and eye/face wash for rinsing contaminants from eyes, face and body. The unit features a ceiling-mounted concealed stainless steel shower head and stainless steel combination cover and drain pan. Grasping the "panic bar" handle and opening cover pulls eye/face wash assembly down from vertical to horizontal position, activating water flow, and keeping it in operation until cover is returned to closed position. While in operation, waste water is collected in the drain pan and returned to the cabinet for drainage. Recessed design helps eliminate the clutter and obstruction, and saves valuable floor space. Install in either a corridor or a lab room, close to where accidents might occur. When installed at recommended mounting heights, unit complies with ADA requirements for accessibility by handicapped persons. Includes ANSI-compliant identification sign.
Note: ANSI Z358.1 specifies that shower heads be installed no more than 96" above the finished floor. This unit should therefore not be installed in ceilings over 8 ft.
