Easy-turn extra-heavy-duty and super-duty standard plate casters each have two wheels mounted on a single axle. This reduces friction between the floor and the wheels (also known as scrubbing) and allows the casters to swivel more easily than single-wheel plate casters. These casters have forged steel frames, tapered roller thrust bearings, and forged steel kingpins that allow them to bear heavier loads, tolerate more frequent use, and withstand more shock and impact than light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty plate casters. They mount onto the bottom of mobile cutting and welding equipment, air cargo and ground support equipment, production line dollies, and other heavy equipment used in manufacturing plants, construction sites, assembly plants, steel mills, and other heavy industrial environments.

Standard plate casters have kingpins that securely join the casters' mounting plates to their frames. They are used in nearly every industry and are the most common type of caster used for general purpose applications. The casters' mounting plates install onto the bottom of machinery, carts, or other equipment, and the casters allow the equipment to roll to reduce effort when moving or repositioning it. These casters are available in swivel and rigid versions. The swivel casters can rotate 360°, allowing equipment to change directions while rolling. The rigid casters roll in a straight line. Two rigid plate casters will often be paired with two swivel casters to allow the equipment to both maneuver around curves and obstacles and maintain a straight course while rolling.
