These urethane duct hoses are made from materials that dissipate static charge to help prevent sparks that could ignite dry materials inside the hose. They have a smooth interior that prevents material from building up in the hose, maximizing air flow through the hose. They also have an external wear strip that helps prevent damage to the hose when it's being dragged. The materials used to make the hose will not outgas and do not contain fillers, halogens, and surface oils, making this hose ideal for cleanrooms and transferring pellets and powders. These hoses are used in the agriculture, food-processing, chemical-processing, pharmaceutical, industrial woodworking, and plastics-processing industries. The hoses are highly flexible and resist damage from abrasion, punctures, oil, ozone, and UV rays.

These duct hoses are primarily used to move wood chips and plastic pellets. The smaller a duct hose's bend radius, the more flexible the hose is. Duct hoses for wood chips and pellets may also be known as wood-chip duct hoses and wood-pellet duct hoses.
