These hoses are lightweight, flexible, and crush-resistant. They also resist damage from exposure to chemicals and moisture, are self-extinguishing, and provide good flex-fatigue resistance. The hoses are highly compressible, which saves space when transporting them.

These air duct hoses are primarily used to blow, vacuum, or vent cold or hot air. Some types of duct hoses for air may also be used for moving other materials, such as dust or fumes.
