The JET® 6” x 48” Belt / 12” Disc Sander with Closed Stand provides industrial sanding power. The cast iron tables have positive stops at 90° and 45° for sanding flat pieces or mitered angles. The belt sander can be used vertically, horizontally, or in between for flexibility. It includes a thumbscrew belt-tracking lock to keep belt in place during use. The belt guard allows full use of the 6” belt width and length to maximize use. A quick-release belt tension lever and quick-lock dust cover make belt and disc changes fast and easy to help reduce downtime. A rubber-coated drive drum grips the sanding belt better, resulting in less slippage. The 4” dust port collects dust from both the belt and disc to help extend abrasive life. The graphite-covered steel platen is designed to run cooler, to help extend machine and belt life. For convenience, the closed, heavy-duty steel stand with built-in handles, and casters that lock, provide support, portability and mobility.
