The workhorse of abrasives aluminum oxide is commonly used on soft and hard woods nonferrous metals such as aluminum and certain steels. Zirconium oxide has high heat resistance for high-pressure grinding and machining applications. It is a staple of steel fabrication shops. Zirconium handles stainless and tool steels nickel alloy aluminum titanium cast iron and carbon steel. Keep a supply of extra belts on hand. Worn torn or scratched belts can impact the quality of your results and should be replaced. Includes 36-grit and 50-grit aluminum oxide belts and a 180-grit zirconium belt.
