The pipe insulation is ideal for both hot or cold water applications with an R-value of R-3.2 offering temperature retention and energy savings while preventing freeze damage to pipes during extreme weather conditions. It has a flexible design which allows easy installation even in tight spaces, and is suitable for use in commercial settings such as schools, hospitals or manufacturing sites where pipe protection is vital hence reducing maintenance costs on pipe replacements or repairs. The elastomeric construction makes it durable enough to withstand harsh weather conditions while ensuring consistent performance thus making it an essential tool in plumbing systems that require reliable and efficient insulation.
This K-Flex USA® Insul-Tube® pipe insulation is an elastomeric material that helps retard heat loss, prevents condensation, and provides effective moisture vapor resistance. Environmentally friendly, CFC-free, mold- and mildew-resistant, fiber-free, and nondusting. Can be used in underground applications above the water table. Seal before back-filling. Unslit tubing can be slit lengthwise and fit over existing pipes. Seal with R-320 Contact Adhesive No. 3F417, sold separately.
