These helical-flute thread mills have a bright finish that provides a smooth, polished surface. They are suitable for general purpose applications at slower speed in nonferrous materials. The thread mills are made from carbide, which offers excellent wear resistance, heat resistance, and hardness.Helical-flute thread mills have spiral flutes that distribute the chip load as the thread mill removes material to cut threads into an existing hole or onto the external surface of a part.
