These aluminized heat-resistant gloves have a cowhide leather palm. Cowhide is a flexible leather that has some contact heat protection while providing better dexterity than aluminized gloves, aramid blends, and fiberglass blends. Aluminized gloves have a coating on the back of the hand and thumb that reflects heat away from workers when working in foundries and near high-heat furnaces or molten metal.
