The multilayer Duarise coating on these end mills offers high lubricity to reduce friction during milling processes and leave an excellent surface finish on the workpiece. The coating also has a high oxidation temperature and resists thermal cracking when using water-soluble oil during the milling process.General purpose end mills are intended for milling a wide variety of common materials but are not suitable for milling hard materials like titanium or gummy materials like aluminum. Finishing end mills create a finer finish on the workpiece than roughing and roughing/finishing end mills.
