Packing Seal 3/8 Sq in 5 Ft
Packing Seal is perfect for sealing leaks at pipes, joints or any other places where gaps are present; made from fiberglass yarn wrapped around a flexible rope providing durability; its three-ply construction allows tightening with a packing gland to eliminate slippage. Easily cut with scissors for size-fitting while the waterproof lubricant eases installation, removal, and provides anti-stick properties preventing sticking to the rod; widely used in plumbing and heating industry where pipes must remain leak-proof.
Compression packing seals are calendared and oven-dried, which reduces moisture and compresses the packing. This makes the packing more dense so that fewer adjustments are required. This seal is lubricated to keep the packing from spinning out of the shaft during break-in. It can be cut and formed into individual rings to act as a seal in pumps or valves.
