PIG® Quick Dam Water-Activated Sandbags help you contain and divert floodwater to protect your facility as an alternative to heavy sandbags. Flat sacks contain super-absorbent polymer powder that swells on contact with water to form a solid, heavy barrier. Dry, unactivated product is lightweight, compact, and easy to handle; place in flood-prone areas when you know water is coming. Eliminates the mess, heavy lifting, and manual labor of filling standard bags with sand. Reusable for up to 8 months; Quick Dams dry out and shrink to their original size and weight as water evaporates. Nontoxic, nonhazardous, and biodegradable. Built-in wedge design helps prevent activated barriers from rolling out of place. 17 ft.-long barrier is ideal for stopping water in front of an extra wide dock door.
