Corrosion-resistant stainless steel strip brushes with rigid backing have strong stainless steel bristles that are more rigid and abrasive than plastic or brass bristles. They are suitable for applications where the bristles will have direct contact with stainless steel and aluminum products, food, and high heat. They also provide excellent corrosion resistance when used in moist or humid environments or facilities that are washed down frequently. These strip brushes are typically mounted along conveyors to direct and separate items on the conveyor and clean debris from conveyed items and conveyor belts and parts. Also known as metal-backed strip brushes, strip brushes with rigid backing each have densely compressed bristles that are securely held in a U-shaped metal channel with a retaining wire. They each can be installed into a compatible holder to help maximize contact between the brush and conveyor when the brush is mounted.

Strip brushes are mounted along conveyors to direct and separate items on the conveyor and clean debris from conveyed items and conveyor belts and parts. They are available with rigid metal or flexible plastic backings and can be installed in compatible brush holders for mounting. When the brush is worn, a new brush can be installed in the holder.
