This VIVOTEK network video recorder (NVR) features a software program that records video in a digital format to a USB flash drive, SD memory card, or other mass storage device. Unit is similar to a DVR, but this NVR takes video input over a network, as opposed to directly connecting to the NVR via a capture card or tuner. The video is streamed to the NVR for storage or for remote viewing. This NVR contains no dedicated video capture hardware.
Note: Before installing an NVR, determine if the NVR software will run on a workstation or if a server is required.
