Variable Speed Controller with Temperature Set Point
Manually control 1 group of variable speed fans. Offers lightning protection using a PVC non-corrosive enclosure. Controls temperature set point and minimum speed. Includes radio wave interference filter. Offers a temperature control range of 41 to 96°F. The SA-10 Allows the user to set the minimum speed of the fan and the activation temperature. Internal DIP switch allows the user to also set the function of the control below the temperature set point. Temperature control Option: with the DIP switch the user can set the fan to be turned off below the set point. At temperature set point the fan turns on at the minimum setting. The fan speeds up over the next 5 degrees to full speed, and will operate full speed until the temperature drops. It backs down from full speed along the same curve to minimum speed and shuts down when temp falls below set point. Guaranteed minimum Option: with the DIP switch in the other position the user can set the fan to run at minimum speed all the time regardless of temp. At temperature set point the fan speeds up over the next 5 degrees to full speed, and will operate full speed until the temperature drops. It backs down from full speed along the same curve to minimum speed, holding the minimum speed as long as power is supplied. The only concern the user needs to think about is running the fan too slow. There is not set number or percentage that is prescribed, since each application will be different. The motor is air cooled. The fan should be set to feel air moving across the motor. This should keep the motor cool enough to prevent burning it up. 2 Year Limited Warranty.
