Thread Forming Tap M8x1.25 Carbide MPN:GX495008
Thread Forming Tap M8x1.25 Carbide
The CrC/C coating on these taps is a multilayer coating with a base layer of titanium nitride (TiN) and an outer layer of chromium carbide carbon (CrC/C). It protects taps from wear when tapping aluminum and other ferrous and nonferrous materials. Coolant-through taps have holes that allow coolant to flow to their tip to reduce heat and friction during threading tasks.
